I was left looking like an Angry Bird after a beautician botched my eyebrows just 1 day before my

A MUM-of-three’s family holiday was ruined after claiming a beautician left her with ‘Angry Birds’ eyebrows.

Colline Rees had shelled out £3,000 on the week-long break to Tenerife and went to get the beauty treatment the day before she flew out.

The upset customer says she was left with the botched brows which left her too embarrassed to pose in family holiday snaps.

Colline, who was away with husband Julian and their three boys Bailey, Morgan, and Ashton, said she was also unable to go swimming because she couldn’t get her eyebrows wet.

Horrified Colline said: “I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

“All my close friends and family were saying I look like something out of the Angry Birds game.”

Colline, of Llanelli, South Wales, explained that she regularly got her brows in her home town.

She said she suffered from alopecia as a teenager and is still affected now but her hair still grows back slower than normal – so has an eyebrow wax to boost her confidence.

She said the beautician who normally treated Colline’s eyebrows was busy so a young trainee did them.

After the treatment she said the trainee needed to put some pencil in her eyebrows.

To her horror Colline then sat up, looked in the mirror and saw most of her left eyebrow was missing.

She said: “I was mortified, absolutely horrified.

"I said to the girl ‘Are you kidding me, is this a joke?’"

Colline claimed that the worker told her she was sorry and she had messed up, but that she was left hysterically crying asking for someone to fix it.

She said another beautician stepped in and offered to resolve the waxing disaster by using a bit of tint.

But when she sat up for a second time to look, she said it looked like two thick black slugs had been drawn above her eyes.

Colline started to cry and stormed out of the salon and FaceTimed her sister Paula, who was horrified by the freakish eyebrows.

She tried desperately to wipe the black dye off with wet wipes in her car, but it was too late because the dye had dried and her drawn-on monster brows wouldn’t budge.

To make matters worse, Colline said the dye was applied straight to her skin, and she was left with a swollen face after having an allergic reaction.

After Colline put a plea out on Facebook for help, a make-up artist friend of the frantic mum came to the rescue.

She went round to Colline’s house and showed her how to draw round the dye to make them her eyebrow shape more flattering.

Colline’s electrician husband Julian even watched the tutorial so he could help his wife with her make up while they were on holiday.

Colline said: “We were so excited to be able to fly somewhere new as we always just go on holiday in Wales.

“I was devastated, it stopped me from enjoying the holiday. We have to work hard to go on holiday and it was just destroyed.

“And I’ll never go to a salon to get my eyebrows done again.”

After the incident, Colline said it took her nine months for the eyebrows to grow back.
