You know what time of year it is? You can say the new year, and you would technically be right, but that is not what I am talking about. No, We are heading straight into awards season. This is the time of year when all the award shows start airing. We thought it might be easier of we told you what they were and when they were. That, my friends, is just what we are doing here. Getting you all primed for awards season.
First up, we have The People’s Choice Awards airing January 8th at 9 o’ clock on CBS. As I am sure you all know, that is the awards show where regular Joe’s like me and you get to call in and give our votes for who we think should win. One of the few award shows this award season that allow the regular person to pick the winners.
After that we have The Golden Globes on January 12th. They will be airing at 8 o’ clock on NBC. The Golden Globes are remarkable because they often set the tone for who will win the Academy Awards.
On January 16th, the Critics Choice Awards will be airing at 8 pm on the CW.
The Screen Actor’s Guild Awards will be airing on January 18th on TBS and TNT.
The Grammy’s are on January 26th at 8pm on CBS.
The Razzies (sorry kids, but bad actors and actresses still win awards, too) will be happening on March 1st, but sadly, no one televises them yet.
Oh, and the big one. The Academy Awards. They happen March 2nd at 7 pm on ABC.
All this useful info was compiled using this handy article from CNN.
So which show during the awards season are you most looking forward to?
