His show was the first spin-off of Pawn Stars, in which he appeared several times. He restored unusual items such as a giant gas pump from the 1940's and a Hopalong Cassidy bicycle from the 1950's.

In 1994, he married Kelly Dale. He has a son named Tyler Dale and a stepson named Brettly Otterman. He has a brother named Ron Dale.
